01. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website skotitech.com, commissioning custom engineering, or engaging Skoti Tech for software development, hardware/IoT systems, AI models, or academic research guidance, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

02. Transparent Quotes & Zero Hidden Fees Policy

We adhere strictly to our motto: “Build what is necessary.” We despise predatory agency billing and ambiguous pricing:

Free Initial Discovery: Initial technical scoping, feasibility evaluations, and project questionnaires are provided free of obligation.
Transparent Milestone Billing: Every project scope is broken down into clear, agreed milestones with fixed pricing before development commences.
Zero Hidden Markups: If a project requires third-party hardware components (sensors, MCUs, PCB manufacturing) or third-party cloud compute beyond free tiers, they are procured transparently at actual purchase cost without hidden markups.

03. Scope of Services & Engagement Model

Skoti Tech provides tailored engineering across Software Development, Web/Mobile Applications, AI/Machine Learning, IoT & Embedded Hardware, Game Development & Simulation, and Academic Project guidance.

Deliverables are defined explicitly in your project requirement document or written proposal. Scope additions requested after sign-off are evaluated transparently and quoted as separate additions.

04. Academic Guidance & Ethical Research Integrity

For academic, final-year capstone, and research projects (B.Tech / M.Tech / Ph.D.):

We provide legitimate technological consultation, reference implementations, hardware-software co-design, and mentorship.
Clients are expected to understand the underlying theory, algorithms, and circuitry. We provide full viva guidance and architecture explanations so students and researchers can defend their work genuinely.
Clients remain solely responsible for complying with their institution's specific academic submission policies.

05. Defect Resolution & 14-Day Warranty

Upon delivery and handover of the agreed milestone or final system, Skoti Tech provides a 14-calendar-day defect resolution warranty during which any functional defects or bugs deviating from the agreed specification will be rectified at zero additional charge.

06. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Skoti Tech and its founder shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from third-party hosting outages, client-side credential misconfigurations, or external API modifications beyond our direct control. In all events, total liability is limited to the total fees received for the specific project milestone.

07. Governing Law & Legal Jurisdiction

These terms and any agreements arising hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall fall exclusively under the judicial jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chengalpattu / Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
