Refund & Cancellation Policy

01. Our Fairness Philosophy

Because Skoti Tech specializes in custom, bespoke engineering (software development, firmware, machine learning models, and IoT hardware prototypes), our refund policy is grounded in mutual fairness, work-completed transparency, and zero ambiguity.

02. Pre-Commencement Cancellation

Discovery & Scoping: All preliminary discussions, architectural scoping, and questionnaires are 100% free of charge. No payment is required until a written milestone plan is confirmed.
Cancellation Before Development: If you decide to cancel an engagement prior to the commencement of active engineering work, your initial milestone advance will be refunded in full, minus any non-recoverable direct expenses incurred strictly on your written authorization (e.g., custom sensor purchases or specialized PCB fabrication fees).

03. Milestone-Based Deliverables & In-Flight Cancellations

All projects are structured into clear, verifiable milestones. Once an intermediate milestone is completed, demonstrated, and accepted by the client:

Payments corresponding to completed and accepted milestones are deemed non-refundable.
If a project is halted mid-milestone by mutual consent, a fair prorated accounting of hours and verified deliverables will be prepared. Any unspent funds allocated for future, uncommenced milestones will be promptly returned.

04. Defect Resolution Over Disputes

Instead of leaving clients stranded, we provide a 14-day warranty period following final delivery. If an agreed feature fails to operate as specified, we commit to resolving the defect at zero additional cost rather than forcing cancellation.
